United States Bandwagon
Most people don't realize that this wagon is a completely new construction at Circus World Museum. While the wheels and braces or sort may have been around the CWM Shops, there was nothing left of the original wagon to save except for a few carvings that John Zweifel had. So standing here in it glory, this is a terrific recreation of an old time Bandwagon. I took this photo in 2008.
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.
