Cole Bros. Circus Stakedriver
From the 1949 season.

This stakedriver, although quite similar, is NOT the stakedriver pictured above. It is the second Cole Bros. unit built around 1937. It was used on the Robbins Bros. 1938 show and then replaced the (ex 101 Ranch) original unit lost in the 1940 fire. After undergoing many modifications it finally ended its days at the ICHOF where it was restored to working condition. Flint
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.
