Ringling - 1951


Soon, the crowds will be lining up to see the Greatest Show on Earth in its entirety, under the largest canvas arena ever known to mankind, where thrills, spills and chills will leave their hearts a flutter and children of all ages laughing with delight.
Hurry, Hurry, Hurry.......

Hi Bob,
This is an interesting shot of the ticket wagons in 1951. It was taken sometime mid to end of the season. They were trying an experiment to see how the flow of patrons would be if all the ticket wagons were together. Prior to this set up, the ticket wagons were at various places along the midway opposite of the side show banner lines.
Starting in 1952 and till the end in 1956, the ticket wagons were always placed together.
In 1953 they added the beautiful clown & name panels on top of the ticket wagons. One is still in existence at the Circus Hall of Fame in Peru.
