Fair Food

While you are at the Fair, you have to try at least three Dougnnut burgers just to make sure the first one was really that good. After Hal and I got there, they had to start making more donuts. Go figure!

SC State Fair

If your going to the State Fair, you might want to ride some rides. It was $20.00 Pay one Price Monday through Friday if you bought advance tickets or $25.00 at the gate. I don't need to tell you, the grandsons did all they could to try to wear out most of the rides before we finally headed for home!

SC State Fair

I think every show we have seen any where this year has been using these basic colors. What ever happened to RED?

Check out their website.

Umbrellas and seats were provided throughout the Midways.

There was three different Ferris Wheels, a Ring of Fire and two Aerial tower swings and drops to light up the sky.

There were several more of these Did You Knows throughout the Fairgrounds. Unfortunately, my Camera's battery was dying by time I found these.

This weekend is a huge Jazz festival throughout the town with various Restaurants offering music from groups, ensembles, and accapela renditions. It is an amazing tribute to a fine gentleman and an honored musician.

Wagon Building 101

When its cold outside, work inside! Marv Gauger and his crew built the elephant tab in the CWM shops. Does anybody know if it was new from one end to the other or was their an actual artifact in the construction?

This photo of the Al G. Barnes Circus was taken on June 4, 1915 in Wallace, Idaho by C. Beerntsen.

Mabel Stark

These two photos were given to me. Thet were taken by C. Beerntsen in 1914 on the Al G. Barnes Circus. I am not real familiar with this gentleman's work but I believe he was from Wisconsin.

This photo is dated 1914.
The following photos of Mabel Stark are found in my uncle's scrap books. I can find no mention of a photographer. Mabel Stark and the year are written in pencil on the back. These would have been on the Al G. Barnes Circus
