Does anyone know of more specific information on the restoration of this wagon when BJ Palmer owned it? My uncle just told me that my grandfather was the blacksmith who put new steel rims on the wheels during the restoration, and that there was an article about it in the Davenport, IA newspaper at the time. Would love to see a copy of that article if anyone has it, or any other information or documentation of the restoration of the wheels.

I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.
