I'm guessing 35 ish. Dad made arrangements and sold the entire 1/4" scale layout to a local man before he passed away. I have some extra pieces that weren't on the table.
More importantly though is Dad's miniature Circus from when he was a boy with the pressed steel trucks and cheese box circus trailers is all at home in the trunk he kept it all in. That show went up and down many a times in Grandma's backyard.
Bob; Great Picture. I wonder how many of us are model builders and fans because of our fathers. I know I am. My dads miniature train shares space at my home and my brother's. Jerry Cash
Bob, You look a lot like your Dad, and I bet he was a lot like you. As you know I also became a circus lover & model builder because of my Dad. There are times that I`ll build a model or get some some old circus artifact and just wish I could show it to him. I sure miss the " Old Man" !
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.
