This is probably the fall of 1970 or the spring of 1971 as this flatcar came from Royal American Shows. The graffiti and worn paint job indicates the original paint as this car went into service on the Schlitz Circus Train for the first time in 1971.
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.

These next couple of shots are called candid shots- meaning that it wasn't planned this way. I have other words to describe this!
