"There's no Business like Show Business". This is an opportunity to share and present Circus History with others.

I suspect this is the Ranch show poster most frequently seen in collections.
In about 1954 I bought one of these for ONE DOLLAR when Central Show Print was cleaning their old stock out and put out a dollar list. They had picked up a lot of Riverside paper years before and had this and many other pieces from that era on the list.
Also got my Christy Bros menagerie bill for a dollar at the same time.
Holy Smokes Dave! Talk about the right place at the right time! I have been told that the Strobridge Co. did the same thing when they went out of business and that all the paper on the shelves went away for next to nothing with a couple circus collectors making a real haul. That'll make your head spin just thinking about it.

Bob Good, Sr, once told me he had written Strobridge and asked for some samples and they went him a big roll which included Forepaugh-Sells and other vintage pieces. This must have taken place in the late 20s or early 30s.
