The sale was attended by many of the Show Business elite. Al Campbell and his wife from the Campbell Bros. great Consolidated Shows attended but bought nothing. The show ended up in the hands of Martin Downs who took it out again in 1906 as the Cole Bros. Circus. The three elephants were Babe, Lil, and Queen. While Queen was in the sale, I can find no records of her after that as she is replaced by Ruth on the Cole show along with Babe and Lil. This ad appearred in the New York Clipper on Jan. 13, 1906 on page 1206.
