Mt. Vernon # 1

By the 1920's the Warren Tank Car Co. and the Mt Vernon Car Mfg. Co. were the premier manufacturers of circus stock cars and flat cars with the Pullman Co. being responsible for many of the coaches. Gone was the completely wooden designs with almost all steel fabrication now being the norm. The lengths were also being increased from the 50 and 60 foot lengths to a new standard of 70 and 72 foot lengths. These three ads are from Billboard in the late 1920's or early 1930's. Foolishly, I did not date these three ads.
