Hennie Bros. Carnival

While I can tell you the Hennie Bros Carnival existed from 1934 to 1951, I can't tell you who owned, where they called home, or who bought it afterwards.

Harry Hennies owned the show. Eventually it became the Olson Show and was then sold to Rod Link and Glenn Wade, in 1967. It was taken off rails in 1970 and became ACA Link Shows.

The show wintered in Hot Springs, Ark. until being owned by Rod Lonk. Then Montgomery, Ala. became the wq. city.
When the transsision to trucks was made, many wagons ended up in Links Coldwater, Mich. wqs. They were burned.
Many of the wheels were saved. I own 11 of those wheels.

My guess is that the Hennies Brothers owned the show -- just a guess , though , not a fact .

Growing up in Castalia, Ohio, we were about 15 miles from the Fremont, Ohio winter quarters of Rod Link. I remember seeing show equipment there but I was too young to pay any attention to what was there at the time.

I just posted a picture of my grandfather standing in front of a Hennies Brothers wagon. I believe he managed the carnival at some time.
