RAS generator wagons with the light towers on top. I had the chance to see this show one time in St Louis many years ago. Royal American was the gem of american carnivals and a sight to behold on the lot. The brightest show I think I`ve ever seen. If my memory is correct there were about 10 of these towers with either yellow or green flouesent tubes all the way up and 6-8 big lights on top, beautiful !
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.
