Some of the richest people in the United States at one time. At one point they had 3 shows on the road: Ringling Bros., Barnum and Bailey, and 4Paw-Sells at the same time. Each tent would seat 8,000 to 10,000 folks twice a day. Thats alot of folks to sell popcorn and postcards to. And in the days before income tax.
