Wildfire in Myrtle Beach
I went to Myrtle Beach last night ( about a two hour drive ) to see my daughter and visit with a cousin who was in town. It turns out a wildfire started around 12 noon and with the strong winds took off immediately. Needless to say, it has been downhill ever since with the State Fire Dept. Mobilization Units being called in from several counties away already.
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.
