The Conover Collection

You've heard about and you may have seen some of it before!

The Richard and Albert Conover Photographic Collection!

The Circus Historical Society, Inc. has been given the Richard and Albert Conover collection to preserve digitally, and to share with the world again. Al Conover had a sales list with over 100 pages offering sets of photos from the Conovers, Dyer Reynolds, Wm. Koford, Marion Organ, Col. Sturdevent, Harry Simpson, Kenneth Whipple, George Graf, George Hubler, Robert Danner and others.

I'll be offering many of these sets for sale again as photographic prints. They haven't been available to the Public in nearly 20 years. You can fine them on my website at www.thecircusworld.com I can offer you the best price there. I have them starting to list on eBay but the price will be higher to offset the eBay fees. I'll also be placing ads in the Circus magazines in the very near future.

EVERY set that is sold is equally split between the Conover family and the Circus Historical Society. I won't keep a cent of these sales.

I'll be steadily adding sets on my website so check back often.

I have no idea what all happened last night but the server is working again and my website is on-line again.

I'm glad I'm not in "Those" meetings today! Whew!

Untimely complications

Well, today has became a nightmare from I don't know where. It seems that my website host, Bluehost, has crashed. MY website and gosh knows how many others are all off line right now. We can't even get to the BlueHost Login page right now. I think I'll just go to bed!

CHS Newsletter

As Editor of the CHS Newsletter, I have thoroughly enjoyed putting it together over the years. Many times, I have found myself wondering what else to use to complete the issue. This time I'm in the opposite position of trying to sort out what NOT to use. I could have produced an eight page Newsletter this issue.

This issue will be coming out the first week of February to all of the Circus Historical Society members. Anyone that is NOT a member, should go to the CHS website immediately ( www.circushistory.org ) and join ASAP as another Bandwagon issue will be coming out soon as well.

WAIT!

There's a BIG, did I say BIG announcement coming in th February Newsletter. You won't want to miss it. The CHS members will soon know what it is.

Apparently, I have been taken off of blogger time-out as this post allowed a photo to be uploaded. Noting the hard work between my electrical genuises, fellow snow shovelers and the smattering of friendly advice has no doubt had some effect on this tempermental device. Now it's time to go to bed.       It appears that I have now ran aground in the Blogging Dept. I now have my regular computer back but still cannot upload any photos. Sound familiar????? Jim Peterson, you know anything about this stuff?

Trouble

    I don't know how fast my computer will go when it gets out of the shop but apparently it is going to have a New Paint Job, a modified hemi with overhead Cams, a Holley Carburetor, a New Stick shift Transmission and a Nitro button for those excellent take-off performances. I hope it gets back from the garage tomorrow as I still can't post any pictures on here with my laptop.

 Geez!

New Year!

     Since my tower computer is in the shop for a general overhaul, oil change, lube job, tire rotation and balance and various upgrades, my laptop doesn't want me to upload any pictures on the blog. Rats!
