If it`s taken at the same time as the one below it`s probably loading, as the trucks are facing away from the runs. I also believe that this stock car only had the doors on only one end, but I could be wrong about that. That`s why it was backed in.
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.

If my memory serves me right, they used International Harvester tractors. All of their generator wagons had I H Ads on them.

Notice that there are no gunnells on the inside of those runs, pretty risky. The frot wheels being awfully close to falling off !
