Al G. Kelly-Miller Bros. Circus
Let's go back to 1952 when the Al G. Kelly-Miller Bros. Circus wasn't the biggest show under canvas at that time but it would become the biggest later on. They paraded every day and utilized this calliope pulled by a six pony hitch. They also worked with the Chevrolet dealers and created a great poster of it. All of these were taken in Richland Center, WI. on July 12, 1952.
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.
