George Keller
Here are a couple 8 x 10 prints that were in my dad's stuff. I offered them on eBay this week. They were called Lithcolor prints and were made by the Topham Printing company in Saginaw, Michigan.
Keller was probably the first cat act I ever saw , ---- I don't remember the shows he was on -- did he ever do Ringling ?? I remember him on indoor Shrine shows , but can't recall any under canvas gigs. Didn't he have a black leopard , or jaguar , that was a rarity back then ??? No whips ,just white gloves !
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.
