The Campbell Bros. Circus went broke in 1912. Wm. P. Hall came to Fairbury, NE. to look it over but passed on the show. Some of the Campbell owners re-organized and bought the show back then sold half of it to Rice Bros. Circus and took the rest back out as Cole Bros. World Toured Circus in 1913.
They made the whole season but folded and sold it all to Wm. P. Hall this time. Hall was in the business of buying and selling shows and animals. Barton & Bailey was framed at the Hall farm out of a lot of the old Campbell Bros. Circus. Fellow Circus Historical Society member P.J. Holmes tells me there are not a lot of Barton & Bailey photos to be found so this next photo is a real treat.
