Mills Bros. Circus Spec
Here are some of the spec floats from the Mills Bros. Circus 1962 season. My dad took the pictures.

Hi Bob, Thanks for posting these nice photos of the Mills Bros. floats. Ringling could sure use some of these nowadays. In 1964, the Ringling spec was "Welcome to the World's Fair". It was a tribute to the 1964-65 New York City Worlds Fair. They had a float very similar to this whale float. What that had to do with the fair is beyond me. Thanks again for the photos. Dom
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.

Am an old Mills gal from the '64 season, and enjoy these pictures (and your wonderful blog) so much!
