Bevell's Hardware in Blackstone, VA.
Good friends Robert and Jean Spivey slipped over to Blackstone to see the great train display again this year and sent us these pictures. It is set-up entirely different this year than in years past. It's all "O" Gauge. Not only is the display great but the walls are lined with his railroad collection. This is a great thing to see. It's up until January 8th then it gets taken down until next Thanksgiving again.
How do they sell any products with great model setup taking up so much room? Wish I lived closer, this looks to be something very worthwhile to see. Bob Kitto
Dane County (Madison), WI is the next place to keep up the fight for elephants as performers and rides. See John Godall's entry on Buckles web site. Bob Kitto
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.
