- I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.

So , do the performers and workmen travel in the wagons on the train , or travel overland in cars and buses ??
Good question! I was told by a nice lady in the box office wagon that the performers and workers used to travel in their caravan wagons on the train. However, that practice stopped sometime in the early 1980s due to safety concerns by the railroad. They now travel overland in cars, buses or by regular train service.
