- I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.

Thanks for the great pictures. You never see anything on Austin Bros. I hope you have more. I've always had a fascination for these mid 40's rail shows and their hodgepodge group of equiptment.

I have a old newspaper ad for Austin Bros from the 40`s when they played here in Columbia. I`ll look it up and send you a copy. I remember my Dad talking about seeing the show and how all the baggage wagons looked more carny than circus. Looking at this wagon you can see what he was talking about.
