Cetlin & Wilson Shows # 3

Jack Wilson and Izzy Cetlin teamed up to own and operate one of the largest railroad carnivals in this country for years. I had the great pleasure of being able to write a detailed history of the show that was published in many installments in the Carnival Midway with guidance from my good friend Robert Spivey who lives in Petersburg, Va. which was home the Cetlin and Wilson Shows for years.

I just came upon your note regarding the Cetlin and Wilson carnival. Izzy Cetlin was a distant cousin with whom I lost contact, and I would like to know all about his life and death.

Contact either Bob Cline or Robert Spivey about Izzy Cetlin. I knew him well and grew up around him as my father was Treasurer of the Shows for over 20 years. Izzy and Jack were like godfathers to me and I was with the show every summer from the late 40s to mid 50s.

Hi. I have a friend whose parents were Joe Hatfield and Eugenia (Jean, Gene) Bartlett. I just saw a newspaper reference that a Jean Bartlett was at a baby shower for someone in the C & W show in 1953. Do either of these names ring a bell with you? Thanks

Do the names Joe Hatfield and/or Eugenia (Jean, Gene) Bartlett sound familiar? Joe played many roles in the carnival world including that of human cannonball. Eugenia and he married in New Orleans in the early 1950s. Their son and I have been trying to determine Eugenia's parentage. Any help would be appreciated!
