I only have a couple Barnum & Bailey pieces. Addressed to C.W. Parker in 1918. Is this the C.W. Parker from carousel fame? I don't know! Anybody have an answer they could share with us?

- I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.

Mr. Cline, this is a different C.W. Parker from carousel C.W. I have a book on carousel history and it has a very large chapter on Charles Wallace Parker. In 1892 he bought his first used ride and from ther he devoted his life to designing and building "carry-us-alls" until his death in 1932. No mention of B&B in his history. Buckles has mentioned a Chas. Parker with Barnum and Bailey, but I don't know what Chas. is short for. By the way, thank you for your kind words for me and the Audubon elephants a few weeks ago.
