Some old Show ads
Wm.P. Hall called Lancaster, MO. home. Many a circus played this town over the years just to show their circus to Mr. Hall or because they wintered or formed at his farm and Lancaster became their opening day. This particular ad was placed in the Lancaster Excelsior on July 20, 1906. This is just the upper section of what was a third of a page ad.
I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.
