John Robinson Circus

These are some more of the Blackhawk Films slides. I have three different sets of the circus posters. Many of them are duplicated in two of the sets. Also, I don't think I have the complete sets of two of the groups as I only have 13 in one set and 12 in the other while the best set of posters I have has 24 slides in it.
I have spent some time on the internet looking for information on the Blackhawk films. Most of it is generic information. None of the Poster sets offer any clue as to where the posters were at that were photographed. Fortunately, they have three different sets of code numbers to keep them seperated.

Hagen Bros. Circus

The Hagen Bros. Circus was owned by Howard Suesz from 1949 to 1961. Thes photos were all taken in 1959 in Georgia.

I'm kind of surprised at the lack of flags flying from the tops of the Center Poles of this push pole Big Top.

This photos was taken in 1959. The elephants should be Dorothy, Elsie, Freida, and Terry.

Classics

In recognition of the Big Show coming to Baraboo this weekend, I thought we might take a little stroll through just a few of the fantastic posters the Ringling Bros. show had used over the years. These are part of the Blackhawk Slide collection.
