- I performed from 1973 to 1995 with a couple years off in between. I did an aerial cradle act for three years, low wire as a clown, trained llamas, ponies, then lions and tigers for 15 years. I am now a firefighter, a member of the Circus Historical Society and an author of several circus and carnival related subjects.

Hoppy is my all time FAVORITE COWBOY. I have quite a few pieces of his memorabilia.
I had the pleasure of seeing Hoppy in person when I was 7 years old, it was one of the biggest thrills of my young life !!! He and his horse Topper were in the Columbia Christmas Parade.

Yes Jim, He was alive, it was a parade not a funeral procession !!! I`ve seen Roy Rogers & Dale Evans, Gene Autry, & Clayton Moore (The Lone Ranger), And they were all alive too !!! Yeah, You`re right, I am old, But didn`t you know Moses or was it Noah ???
