Jungleland / Louis Goebel's

Louis Goebel acquired a great deal of the former Hagenbeck-Wallace circus after it went bust in California. About the only thing they managed to sell of were the railroad cars. Art Lewis bought the majority of the train cars and most of the rest were sold for scrap.
Louis Goebel was enterprising and diversified. He used animals in film work and took the circus equipment to the studios as well. Here are several Al Halpren photos taken of the former Hagenbeck-Wallace wagons.
