I have reluctantly walked away from my blog here as I am having more and more trouble trying to get anything to post. I had a great time doing it but it isn't worth the frustration anymore. Follow the Circus Historical Society posts on Facebook for your daily dose of good stuff.

Dick Dykes

I was saddened to learn today that fellow circus blogger, Dick Dykes, known as the Balloon Man, passed away in a Dover, Delaware hospital. He posted on his blog as recently as June 25th. Go visit his blog and remember a fine man and a good friend.

The Good old Days!

Ah, the good old days. This is the Barnum & Bailey train as taken in 1909. It must have been a water stop to have the bottom sideboards off of all the cages. The photographer is not indicated but this is now part of the Conover Photographic collection.
